This didn't remedy the issue and then when attempting to clear out the software / drivers (uninstall all hp software, remove printer from installed printers windows menu, etc) it gave an error described here ( ) so then following instructions on that page and getting to the "Microsoft Fixit Utility" to uninstall the software it did seem to go away. There was an issue scanning to printer so "someone" reinstalled the drivers.
